T20 2012 World Cup Australia vs West Indies Semifinal

A surprising semifinal to be honest. I was expecting a tough semi final today but West Indies batted superbly.
Gayle as always when strikes no bowler is spared. He got good support from his fellow batsmen as well. And that propelled West Indies to a massive total of 205/4. Australian bowlers seemed clueless today. Batting looked too easy specially hitting sixes looked like playing a game on computer to be honest.

Australia couldn't even start today. They lost all the key wickets in the first few overs. The captain played a good knock but that never seemed to threat West Indies. In the end it was almost a cake walk for West Indies.

Now waiting for the final match on Sunday where they will play against Sri Lanka. I hope it to be an exciting contest.

Below are some moments from today's match:

Gayle is slow runner but he makes up extremely well with flurry of boundaries.

There is the Gayle everybody knows.

Marlon too played a good innings and taking the pressure off Gayle.

Sometimes he plays cricket shots too!!! :P

Bravo supported Gayle very well.

Another Gayle celebration. Its new isn't !!!

Nothing really went Australia's way today.

They completely misjudged the track. May be pressure of 205 was too much to ask for.

Bailey definitely played some good shots. But it was never going to be enough.

Pollard celebrates.

Gayle's group dance performance.

WOW!!! What a day for West Indies cricket. After a long wait they are into the finals of a major ICC event. Its T20 World Cup man. Kudos !!!

The best thing of the match came once the match was over. The dancing of the West Indies players. It looks like Gayle may not be sharing his batting skills with his teammates but sharing his dancing skills for sure. He was actively joined by other teammates on the cricket dance floor.

It would really bring a laughter on anybody's face after watching a team dancing like that. Chris you rock man!!!

Waiting for the next big encounter against Sri Lanka.
