Find a property

Well before I start there is something very important I want to clarify. I am not an agent or broker or builder. I am just a roadside man “aam aadmi” who search some property as his first home and may be later on one or two another for his family. I am using this blog just to share my experience with my first and only property.

_{Why a property  for  me}

Its almost 7 years now when I moved to Pune for work. I am into IT profession. At that time I had planned that I would better live on rent for whole my working life rather than spending 20-30 lakhs in a flat, which even doesn’t have personal land and roof. But time changes very quickly as is the human thinking and almost everything around.

Well there can be a thousands of reasons why not(-to( buy a property for self. It can be an endless discussion. But I decided in favour of going for a property of mine for following reasons:

•   After 2-3 years I found it hard to change flat everytime
•    I can sell my flat anytime to purchase other wherever I want to, if any case.
•   This investment is recession free and most of the times with good return.
•   A time comes when everybody around goes for this. So I felt pinched with every such breaking news around.
•   And last but  not the least self contention factor.

_{How did I search for property}

Well  there are various ways through one can get information about what going on in the realty market around. I decided to have a hand with most of them. I would like to list down the sources of such information in my case:

1    1.       Friends/Colleagues
2.       Company Bulleting Boards
3.       Various websites like 99acres, magicbricks, etc.
4.       Some real estate forums.  http://www.indianrealestateforum.com/  in particular
5.       Some blogs as well like http://ravikarandeekar.blogspot.co.uk/
6.       Visiting the property location by self

Of so many things the most errorneous information is from the builders’ websites. They have detailed information about the project but contains some amenities or promises which are never fulfilled.

The decision should be made after doing all the calculations. There can be so many  I would like to add few in future blogs though but not this time.
